November 23,
2016 by Larry Thomas in Green, Industry, Special Events
The Sustainable Furnishings Council’s certified sustainability training program will take place at two locations in January, and also is available online on several Fridays in January and February.
The 6-hour exam program provides an excellent grounding in the sustainability issues we all must face, and gives practical advice for growing your business with solutions to the problems, according to the SFC.
It will take place on Jan. 12 at Miromar Design Center in Estero, Fla., and again on Jan. 25 during the Las Vegas Market.
In addition, it is available online each Friday from Jan. 6 through Feb. 10, beginning at 12 noon, Eastern Time, each day.
Topics include The Case for Sustainability; The Mind of the Consumer; Sourcing Green Products; Designing Green Interiors; and Selling Green Solutions.
The program was developed in 2009 in conjunction with the SFC and is updated annually with input from experts in the field, including ranking staff of World Wildlife Fund, Rainforest Alliance, and a founder of the U.S. Green Building Council.
