What Will A Trump White House Look Like?

Now that the election is over and Donald Trump is about to become the 45th president of the United States, you might be wondering how he and Melania will decorate the White House. Gold leaf? Marble? Grandiose fountains?
According to the White House Historical Association (WHHA), a group founded in 1961 by Jacqueline Kennedy that assists First Families when they move into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, “The President can decide on changes to furniture, artwork, coverings for walls and floors and more.”
When it comes to living quarters on the top two floors they can pretty-much do what they want, but protocol and custom should have some say.
Alterations to public spaces on the ground and first floor are done in collaboration with the Committee for the Preservation of the White House. But the POTUS, along with FLOTUS, “has tremendous decorating discretion,” adds the WHHA.
When asked if the White house could be painted gold, the WWHA said, “It is a matter of tradition rather than law. As a National Heritage Site/National Historic Landmark in the care of the National Park Service, there would be a significant process that would need to be followed to make any significant changes.”
