San Diego-based retailer Jerome’s Furniture has hired Kevin Bligh as its new chief operating officer.
He brings 40 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting, operations, strategic planning and analysis, enterprise resource planning systems and implementing technologies that cut costs and streamline practices.
Mostly recently, he was chief financial officer at Vionx Energy Corp., where he was responsible for the company’s overall financial strategy, including cost management, capital allocation and balance sheet optimization. In that role, Bligh oversaw corporate finance, treasury, financial planning and analysis, tax, accounting, investor relations and human resources.
“This is the right time for me to join this renowned company,” said Bligh. “Jerome’s has a stellar reputation in our industry and a strong commitment to its ‘Everyday Low Price’ value proposition. That requires an equal dedication to efficient operations. I’m looking forward to doing my part to make this happen.”
In his new post, Bligh will lead Jerome’s financial and business operations and will report to CEO Brian Woods.
“Kevin rounds out a great executive team and is a terrific fit for us,” said Woods. “His skill in setting up practices and processes that put customers first while maintaining necessary controls over our operations is stellar. We’re excited to have him as part of the team.”
