Filicia to Kick Off ‘Presidential Campaign’ With Downtown Parade

Designer Thom Filicia will launch his “presidential campaign” today with an afternoon parade through a portion of the downtown High Point Market district.
Filicia, who says he is running for designer-in-chief, will head the parade that begins at 2:30 p.m. at the Vanguard Furniture showroom, 301 N. Hamilton St.
The parade, which includes a drumline, will proceed south on Wrenn Street to Commerce Avenue, where it will end at the Eastern Accents showroom in the Suites At Market Square.
Eastern Accents is hosting a party that begins at 3 p.m., where Filicia will discuss (design) policy and unveil his plan for making America beautiful again, according to campaign organizers.
