Former furniture industry sales executive Sam Perone was sentenced to 11 years in an Ohio prison this week after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter in connection with the 1992 slaying of Richard “Dick” Woods, according to multiple media reports.
Perone was arrested last year at his home in Arizona after an Ohio grand jury indicted him after being presented with new evidence in the case.
At the time of the shooting, Perone owned a retail furniture store in Lebanon, Ohio, called Just Living Rooms. In recent years, he was a sales executive for several upholstery companies.
