Hall of Fame Issues Final Call for Tickets

Expecting a sellout for the second straight year at its induction ceremonies, the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation has issued the final call to purchase tickets for this year’s event, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 23 at the Sheraton Greensboro Four Seasons.

“Tickets sold out for last year’s event,” said Michael Amini, president of the Foundation board of directors, “and this year we’re expecting the largest turnout in our history, a clear indication that all segments of the industry are joining the celebration, which has undeniably, become the industry’s most prestigious gathering.”

Entertainment icon Donny Osmond will be the signature performer at the Induction Celebration, with a performance that will incorporate his magnificent band and high-energy production numbers with back-up dancers that are dazzling audiences around the country during his solo tour.

“Having Donny on our stage will take this event to a whole new level,” said Amini. “It is a Las Vegas-caliber show and a performance you don’t want to miss.  Other celebrities joining us are Johnny Bench, member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame; Thom Filicia, TV personality, author and designer; Kathy Ireland, model turned licensing mogul; and Jane Seymour, actress, author, artist and designer.”

Joining the current 103 Hall of Fame members at the ceremonies are John Bray, chairman and CEO of Vanguard Furniture; Robert B. Currey, founder of Storehouse Inc. and Currey & Company; Art DeFehr, chairman of Palliser Furniture Holdings Ltd.; Richard Frinier, award-winning designer and principal and creative director of the Richard Frinier Design Studio; and Robert Ching Wo, chairman of C.S. Wo & Sons.

“The Induction Celebration gathers together the top leaders in our industry to honor their peers with the industry’s most coveted recognition, induction into the Hall of Fame,” Amini said. “We’re certain that future leaders will be inspired and able to meet people that they otherwise would not have been able to rub shoulders with.”

Tickets for this year’s induction celebration are $250 per ticket for members ($2,500 for a table of 10) and $300 per ticket for non-members ($3,000 for a table of 10). For more information about the celebration or to purchase tickets, visit the event’s website at www.catchthespirit2016.com.
