Wong Steps Down as CEO of Nova LifeStyle

Nova LifeStyle, (NVFY) the U.S.-based parent company of Diamond Sofa and several other lifestyle furniture brands, announced that CEO Ya Ming “Jeffrey” Wong had resigned as CEO to pursue other opportunities.
The company said Tawny Lam, the current chairman and president, would serve as interim CEO.
Wong’s primary responsibilities included overseeing manufacturing operations in mainland China. However, Nova LifeStyle recently agreed to sell those operations to Kuka Design Ltd.
“On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Jeffrey for his leadership and commitment in helping us build Nova LifeStyle into the company it is today,” Lam said. “With the impending sale of our China business, we appreciate Jeffrey’s desire to seek other opportunities and we wish him well in his future endeavors.”
