FastFact: New Report Says E-commerce Accounts for Less Than 10% of Total Retail Sales

While e-commerce now accounts for nearly 15% of all home furnishings sales, it remains a small part of overall retail sales, according to a report recently released by the U.S. Census Bureau.
The report said the internet claimed 7.3% of all retail sales (excluding gasoline) in 2014. That was up from 2.3% in 2004.
