FastFact: Suburbs Still Favored by Millennial Home Buyers

Although Millennials are buying homes later in life than previous generations, they still prefer to own a home in the suburbs – much like Baby Boomers and Gen X.
A recent study by the National Association of Realtors showed that only 17% of Millennial home buyers purchased a home in an urban or central city area in 2015, down from 21% the previous year.
While Millennials still prefer urban areas when they rent, the higher cost of homes in these areas may be driving them to the suburbs when they decide it’s time to own, the study concluded. Click here to read more.
