Casual Furniture Organization Names Sales Rep Award Finalists

The International Casual Furnishings Assn. has named the four finalists for the 2016 Sales Representative of the Year award.

The award recognizes an outstanding sales representative within the casual furnishings industry.

Finalists are Randy Adams of Exton, Pa.; Todd Crandall of Roswell, Ga.; Bryan Echols of Charlotte, N.C.; and Gary Moretti of Longmont, Colo.

They were selected based on leadership, professionalism, exceptional service, communication skills, knowledge and product training expertise.

The 2016 winner will be selected through online voting of the ICFA membership.

Adams is president of Parkman Associates, where he began his casual industry career in 1985, learning the business from his father-in-law, Ralph Parkman. He took over as president in 1997 and currently covers six states, selling Treasure Garden, NorthCape, Breezesta and California Outdoor Concepts. A former teacher and football coach, he takes pride in representing quality companies and enjoys cultivating relationships and partnerships with his customers.

Crandall is the owner of Crandall & Associates. He started in the industry in 1989 working for Apollo Award winner Schirmer’s Casual Gallery in Falls Church, Va. He learned the business from Lifetime Achievement Award winner Marie Schirmer. In 2002 he began representing Brown Jordan, later adding Jensen Leisure, TUUCI and Winston to his lines. He is active in ICFA and served on the ICFA Board of Directors from 2010 to 2015.

Echols owns Echols Enterprises, Inc. This is his second nomination for Sales Rep of the Year; he won the honor in 2010. After a short stint in the banking industry in 1991, Echols realized a cubicle was not where he wanted to spend his future. Through his father, Bill Echols, he learned of an opportunity with Samsonite Furniture, and he soon realized he’d found his career path. He now represents O.W. Lee, Treasure Garden, Lloyd Flanders and Outdoor by Design.

Moretti operates GSM Marketing. Earlier this year, he was named Gloster’s 2016 Design Trade Sales Rep of the Year. He began his casual furniture industry career in Florida with Castelle and Meadowcraft in 1998. After moving to Colorado in 2003, he added Gloster, Homecrest, NorthCape, Casual Cushion and Firegear.  His oldest daughter, Kelsey, now works with him building strong customer relationships through proactive communication and focused training.
