Bob’s Discount Furniture to Open Three Stores at Former hhgregg Locations

Connecticut-based furniture chain, Bob’s Discount Furniture is in various stages of negotiations to take over all three of the Milwaukee-area hhgregg locations after the electronics retailer closes this fall.
The stores will likely be opened by the holiday season, according to officials.
On August 8, hhgregg announced it was closing its five Wisconsin locations four years after entering the Wisconsin market.
“It’s good news that we won’t have an empty big box, but unfortunate for the people at hhgregg who will be losing their jobs,” states Charles Erickson, Greenfield community development manager.
