Mattress 1 Deploys New E-commerce Website

Orlando, FL. based independent mattress retail chain, Mattress 1 and Boston-based e-commerce agency Accorin, have completed a comprehensive redesign and technology overhaul of the company’s website.
The new website, which includes a new user interface, online catalog, mobile access and full online ordering capability is the first e-commerce website for the 200+ store chain. The website technology was developed on the popular Magento e-commerce platform. In addition to providing a complete online ordering experience the website also allows shoppers to easily find the nearest location of Mattress 1’s retail stores near them.
Accorin began working with Mattress 1 in late 2015 to formulate a plan for developing a new e-commerce website. Actual design and development began in the winter, and the site was just recently completed and unveiled for public shopping at mattress1.com.
Mattress 1’s new website allows it to compete as an omnichannel retailer with a solid presence competing in the crowded online mattress space joining retail giants like Sleepy’s and Mattress Firm. Although the retailer currently focuses its brick and mortar retailing efforts in the growing states of Florida and Texas, the online store now allows it to work with other customer around the country.
Since Mattress1 carries many of the same brands of mattresses as its larger competitors, but in addition also carries its own brand “Aria,” it feels it can now compete on an equal footing with the bigger players in the crowded online space. An improved online shopping experience will also provide customers who are familiar with Mattress 1 an easier way to “showroom” and browse popular products before going to a retail store.
