Bedding Companies Choose Tupelo Furniture Market

Bedding is big and this comes as no surprise to producers of the Tupelo Furniture Market, who plan on holding the 2nd annual Mattress Mania event during their 59th biannual furniture trade show, August 18-21.
Retail bedding sales are predicted to hit $16.1 billion by 2018, a 15.8% increase over the 2013 mark. The Tupelo Furniture Market is one of the larger furniture trade events in the United States; however, in recent years the market has quietly added more than 40 bedding manufacturers to its base of exhibiting companies, and the August event will likely showcase the largest number of mattress and bedding companies east of the Mississippi River! Bedding companies once again have been asked to develop "one-of-a-kind" show promotions to create "mania" in Tupelo!
"This event was actually the idea of one of our bedding companies," said Kevin J. Seddon, President of the furniture market. "Last year's Mattress Mania was very successful and both our bedding exhibitors and our retailers benefitted. In fact, we picked up several new bedding companies in the last year and many of our existing companies expanded their showroom presence. We believe some of this has to do with our new focus on bedding so we plan on sticking with it."
According to Seddon, 44 bedding companies will exhibit in Tupelo in August. Thus far those participating in the Mattress Mania promotion include Symbol Mattress, Restonic Sleep Products, Capital Bedding, Infuzive Comfort, Sealy/Tempurpedic, Serta, Simmons, Campbell Mattress, Cassady Closeouts, Mlily, Bed Boss, Kittrich, Malouf, Sleep in Motion and Brooklyn Bedding.
"We are confident that more will be added to this list in the next few weeks and we plan on posting those involved and their Mattress Mania promotions on our website at www.tupelofurnituremarket.com/mattress-mania," explained Seddon.
"However, we have been asked to wait until the first week or so of August before we post the specials on our website or e-mail them to show registrants. Our bedding exhibitors want to be clear that the special pricing and programs will only be available at the Tupelo Furniture Market and they will not be taking orders by telephone prior to market."
The Tupelo Furniture Market is one of the oldest and largest national furniture trade events in the United States and is held twice each year in Tupelo, Mississippi. The market facility's 2.5 million square feet is all under one roof and on one level and will house more than 500 companies showcasing thousands of furniture and accessory products.
