Somerton Dwelling Continues Growth Curve, Promotes Two in Key Roles

Somerton Dwelling, maker of freshly innovative home furnishings, promoted two key staff members in operations and e-commerce as the company continues to expand its to-the-trade and online sales initiatives.

Carmen Martinez has been promoted to the newly created role of director of operations and Monica Paredes assumes the newly created position of e-commerce specialist.  Both report to Rita Ho-Bezzola, Somerton Dwelling’s CEO.

In her new position, Martinez is responsible for overseeing the company’s logistics and forecasting processes and warehouse management.

Prior to her promotion Martinez was Somerton Dwelling’s special projects manager.  Previously, she worked at Master Design as an international buyer and in sales and operations planning.

With increased initiatives in the digital and e-commerce arenas, Paredes will now manage promotions with e-commerce merchants and the company’s expanding retail partner programs in addition to overseeing e-commerce customer service.  Paredes has been with Somerton Dwelling since 2008 and previously served as their customer service manager.

“Carmen and Monica are two of our most valuable and valued managers,” commented Ho-Bezzola.  “Both have proven excellence in operational management and have helped our company refine and expand our services during their tenure and now they will have the opportunity to contribute even further to our success.”
