Babette’s Furniture and Home Shoppe Named Florida Retailer of the Year

Babette’s Furniture and Home Shoppe, one of Lake County, Florida’s largest furniture and home-accessories stores, has been named the 2016 Florida Retailer of the Year by the Florida Home Furnishings Resource Association.
The Leesburg-based company, founded in October 1988 by Babette and Gary Ward, has grown from humble beginnings in a double-wide trailer to a modern 55,000-square-foot showroom a short distance away.
The couple will be recognized during an August 25 luncheon at Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the Hills, Florida.
