The RoomPlace Donates $150,000 to Eskenazi Health

Today, the Eskenazi Health Foundation announced a gift of $150,000 from The RoomPlace in support of the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital and Eskenazi Health campus, in addition to current Eskenazi Health programs.
“We are pleased to receive this generous gift from The RoomPlace,” said Ernie Vargo II, CFRE, President and CEO of the Eskenazi Health Foundation. “The RoomPlace has always had a strong commitment to being active in the local community. We are very grateful to have their support.”
The donation from The RoomPlace will be recognized with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the naming of The RoomPlace Sky Farm Trellis today. The Sky Farm is located on the roof of the Eskenazi Health Outpatient Care Center on the main Eskenazi Health campus. It is available to patients, staff and the community as a space to engage with food, learn how it grows and how to prepare fresh produce and to foster a greater understanding of the importance of healthy eating.
“The RoomPlace believes in building stronger, more united communities and fostering progressive enhancement through our Community Care program,” said Paul Adams, Chief Executive Officer of The RoomPlace. “Our partnership with Eskenazi Health is part of our ongoing commitment to help improve the lives of our customer and employees who live and work in the greater Indianapolis area and rely on health services like these.”
The RoomPlace has been serving the Chicagoland and greater Indianapolis area since 1912 with stores that are committed to creating a shopping experience like no other. The RoomPlace also supports a mission to bring awareness and support to the local communities and organizations where it operates.
