Celebrity Designer, Bestselling Author Thom Filicia To Host Book Signing to Kick off Art Van’s Luxury Division

Internationally acclaimed celebrity designer and television star Thom Filicia is now bringing his impeccable eye for style to Art Van Furniture's luxury furniture division, Scott Shuptrine Interiors.
The number one furniture and mattress retailer in the Midwest will celebrate by hosting Filicia at a special meet and greet party and signing of his book, "American Beauty: Renovating and Decorating a Beloved Retreat." The event is set for 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, at Scott Shuptrine Interiors Downers Grove Gallery, located inside Art Van Furniture at 1021 Butterfield Road in Ilinois.
"Thom Filicia brings a stunning design sensibility and sophisticated style to everything he creates," said Jeanette McNamara, director of Scott Shuptrine Interiors. "His work has generated acclaim around the world and captured the attention of first-class hotels, notable high-end design projects and A-list celebrities, such as Tina Fey and Jennifer Lopez. We look forward to a special evening showcasing Thom's delightful personality and elegant yet inviting design sensibilities with our guests."
Susanna Homan, celebrity journalist and editor-in-chief of Chicago Magazine, will be the emcee for the evening. The event will feature live entertainment and refreshments, along with remarks by the designer, a raffle and the opportunity to meet Filicia. The first 100 attendees will receive a signed copy of Filicia's book, which chronicles the designer's personal journey to renovate an old lake home in New York. All guests will receive 40 percent off Vanguard products during the event.
As part of the Vanguard collection, Filicia's furniture line illustrates his signature style of stunning modern, yet classic and appealing design aesthetic. The distinctive Thom Filicia Home collection includes furniture, rugs, curtain hardware, artwork, pillows, throws, fabrics and trimmings.
There are currently 10 Scott Shuptrine Interiors galleries in the Midwest, including locations in Royal Oak, Shelby Township, Grosse Pointe, Grand Rapids, Petoskey and Novi, Mich.; Genoa and Holland Twp, Ohio; and Downers Grove and Rockford, Ill.
The meet and greet event with Thom Filicia is free and open to the public. Attendees should register online in advance through Eventbrite.
