Las Vegas Market Announces Gourmet Expansion and Special Programming for Summer 2016

The Las Vegas Market has announced nine new showrooms and 25 new lines will debut on C11 – the industry’s newest destination for gift-oriented housewares, tabletop and specialty food – at the Summer 2016 Las Vegas Market, July 31-August 4, 2016.

These most recent additions bring the overall number of gourmet resources on C11 to 200+ lines, with hundreds more presented across the Market’s 40 showroom floors and two temporary pavilions.

“Las Vegas Market has been steadily expanding the gourmet housewares presentation on C11 since its debut in Summer 2015, and industry-leading suppliers and brands are continuing to flock to this vibrant venue,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, International Market Centers. “As the leading furniture, home decor and gift destination in the western United States, Las Vegas Market is committed to presenting an exciting, cross-category assortment of gourmet housewares, tabletop and specialty food resources that will appeal to our existing gift and home décor buyers, as well as offer new buying opportunities for gourmet retailers.”

Debuting showrooms on C11 for Summer Market include gourmet and gift supplier Brand Castle, tabletop and housewares provider Circa Asia, opening its first, stand-alone national showroom and tabletop and housewares resource Janey Lynn’s Designs, also debuting its first permanent national showroom. Several companies, including specialty food supplier Carmie’s Kitchen; and upscale cookware manufacturer Le Creuset, also have confirmed their intent to participate in micro showrooms on C11.

Multi-line sales agency The Travers Group, one of the top housewares, tabletop and gift agencies will open a showroom featuring prominent lines such as: John Ritzenthaler Company, Tar Hong and Groupe SEB: All-Clad, Lagostina, Krups, Rowenta, Tfal/Mirro/Wearever. A second multi-line group, Happily Handmade USA, a supplier of handmade merchandise, housewares and tabletop, will feature a collection of American-made artisans and lines including: Heart the Moment, Jacob’s Musical Chimes, Michael Michaud Design, Prairie Dance Metal Art, Sea Stones and Spooner Creek/Macone Clay.

In addition to these newcomers, C11 anchor tenant Muir Sales is expanding its showroom by 50% and bringing 12 new lines to the floor. Additionally, anchor tenant Kitchen Source will introduce Mu Kitchen at the Summer Market.

Outside the permanent showrooms, gourmet resources will also be well represented in temporary exhibits in the Pavilions. Among highlights are a first-time Gourmet Business pavilion showcasing Epare, Recap, and Samuel Lamont among others. Other notable gourmet-focused temporary exhibitors include 12 Small Things, BarrelWerks, Prissy Plates Gift & More, South Bend Chocolate Company, Sparkles Home; Supreme Housewares and The Pasta Shoppe to name a few.

As part of a related attendee building strategy, Las Vegas Market is expanding its partnership with two major housewares buying groups, the Gourmet Catalog Buying Group and the Housewares Training & Information Group (HTI) to entice their western region buyers to attend.  The Summer Market will also offer several gourmet-focused special activities, including a two-part educational seminar program presented by The Gourmet Retailer; and a return appearance by the celebrity duo known as the Fabulous Beekman Boys.

Other highlights include the addition of some 40 new tenants in the gift, housewares and home décor categories as well as 50 new furniture companies; concentration of new boutique home décor resources on C5; a rebranding of c-ONE as a dynamic cross-category showcase of directional tableware, gift and home décor resources; continued resource growth in the C10 Lifestyle Collection; continued expansion in casual and outdoor products on C12 and C13; presentation of the top 15 bedding manufacturers; sold out home furnishings temporaries on B2 and expansion of The Pavilions to feature some 500 temporary exhibitors.
