Somerton Dwelling Names Chris Schicker Director of Asian Operations

Somerton Dwelling, maker of freshly innovative home furnishings, has named Chris Schicker to the newly created position of director of Asian operations.
He reports to Dave Pinamonti, president of Somerton Dwelling.
“As Somerton Dwelling continues to grow we wanted an experienced leader based in Asia to work closely with the staff there and to direct our operations,” stated Pinamonti. “We feel very fortunate to add Chris to our team. His past Asian operations management experience in product development, production and quality assurance are notable and we are confident he will be a great asset to Somerton Dwelling as we move forward. ”
Schicker’s key responsibilities in Vietnam include ensuring excellence throughout the production process, improving velocity, and working closely with the design team to implement innovations across Somerton Dwelling’s bedroom, dining room, accents and occasional product lines. Schicker has already instituted best-in-industry procedures that affirm Somerton Dwelling’s just-in-time inventory support for their direct-container and warehouse customers.
Ho Chi Minh City is not new to Shicker. He has lived there for more 14 years, previously working with Vaughan Furniture Company and C&V Resource Services. He is proficient in both Mandarin Chinese and Vietnamese.
