Each year, ACG Atlanta recognizes 40 Georgia-based middle-market companies that have realized the fastest revenue and employment growth during the prior three years. Rankings are objectively based on weighted three-year average increases in revenue and employment.
As a direct result of its rapid revenue growth and addition of new personnel, Surya recently opened a new one-million-square-foot corporate headquarters and distribution center in Cartersville, Ga., north of Atlanta. The state-of-the-art facility and logistics system will promote increased operational efficiencies while also providing ample space for expansion. The company plans to bring an estimated 200 new jobs to the North Georgia area during the next several years as it continues to grow its product offering and move into additional home accessory categories.
“We have come such a long way during our 40 years in the home furnishings business, and this valuable recognition reaffirms that we are doing the right things,” said Satya Tiwari, president, Surya. “Our new location will position us with a strong infrastructure to scale our growth and give our customers even more great products and sales support tools to help them build a successful home accessories business. Closer proximity to Atlanta will also make it easier to attract top-notch talent. We are honored that ACG Atlanta has selected us for the Georgia Fast 40 for a second year.”
“Surya’s sustained double-digit growth is a testament to the company’s solid business model, commitment to innovation and passionate focus on helping its customers succeed,” said ACG Atlanta President Denise Boyd. “The Surya team’s ability to move swiftly and execute on its vision continues to deliver great value to the home furnishings industry.”
To be eligible for the Georgia Fast 40, companies must be for profit and headquartered in Georgia; have recent year-end revenues ranging from $15 million to $500 million; and demonstrate three years of verifiable revenue and employment growth.
