Mattress manufacturer Classic Brands’ Bed-In-A-Box program recently surpassed a production milestone, selling two million bed-in-a-box units. They’ve also announced the launch of a new line to bolster its offerings to retailers and consumers.
Michael Zippelli, president and CEO of Classic brands said “We are uniquely positioned to take advantage of the bed-in-a-box boon. Our roots in the category run deep giving us a unique proposition. We understand the category from a merchandising standpoint, a supply chain standpoint and from a product development and design standpoint.”
A component of the “Sleep Options” collection, introduced at High Point Market, includes two 10-inch models. The first style features memory foam and latex atop a poly-foam base core and is available in either plush or firm comfort levels. The other model offers a layer of phase-change gel over memory foam, both of which rest on a poly-foam core. A gel-infused memory foam version is also available in a choice of plush or firm comfort choices. Fresh fabric choices in a crisp navy and white combination give the mattresses extra panache.
Priced to retail at $699 for a queen mattress only, the mattress generated strong positive reaction from traditional brick-and-mortar retailers and e-commerce channels. Zippelli said innovations in the category will remain a focus for Classic Brands moving forward.
