Bienenstock to Host Sales Tax Law Seminar for Interior Designers

The Bienenstock Furniture Library will host a seminar dedicated to presenting and discussing issues related to the new North Carolina sales tax law, especially as it relates to fabrication and installation labor.

This is the second in a series of seminars hosted by the Bienenstock Furniture Library to disseminate business information specific to the interior design trade from experienced and knowledgeable experts. The library hosted an event on accounting procedures for interior designers in March.

Jack Hendrix, owner of Hendrix, Barney & Co., CPA, LLC, will lead the seminar on May 18 from 1 to 2 p.m. He will explain the letter and spirit of the new law, and discuss its impact on interior design sales and services. Interior designers will better understand the new tax laws and be able to ask specific questions.

The seminar will be held in the Hadley Court Center at the Bienenstock Furniture Library. The registration fee is $10. Seating is limited to approximately 25 designers and must be reserved by May 12. To reserve in advance by credit card, call Library Director Karla Webb at 336-883-4011.
