PBteen Debuts Second Collection with Kelly Slater

PBteen, a member of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (NYSE: WSM), has debuted its second collection designed in collaboration with Kelly Slater, the 11-time world surfing champion.

The Kelly Slater collection is available for purchase on PBteen.com and in PBteen stores nationwide. The assortment was inspired by a desire to reduce environmental impact. It includes bedroom and study assortment for both surfer girls and boys and boasts more than 30 pieces, including furniture built with FSC-certified wood as well as reclaimed wood, rugs made with recycled fibers and bedding composed of certified 100 percent organic cotton.

“I’m honored to continue my partnership with PBteen,” Slater said. “My passion and commitment to living eco-friendly lifestyle is the center of my life’s philosophy. Bringing attention to global conservation both inside and outside the home is important to me and in collaborating with PBteen we are able to bring awareness to teens, those who are the future of protecting our environment.”

The collection features eco-conscious decor and home furnishings that bring the authentic surfer style indoors. Items new to the second collection include the Recycled Denim Pouf and a coffee table crafted from reclaimed wood.

“We are proud to expand our collaboration with surf legend, Kelly Slater,” said Jennifer Kellor, senior vice president of merchandising for PBteen and Pottery Barn Kids. “The environmentally responsible materials used in this collection send a strong message that we can make a difference in the world’s resources.”
