Ethan Allen Reaffirms Stance on Equality

Farooq Kathwari, president and CEO of Ethan Allen (NYSE: ETH), reaffirmed Ethan Allen’s stance on equality while speaking to more than 400 associates at its manufacturing plants in Vermont.
“A core leadership principle of the company is justice and that means treating people fairly,” Kathwari said. “Our policy is that we do not tolerate discrimination and we, in fact, have a long history of support against discrimination of any kind. We’re pleased our core values align with those of the state of Vermont but also want to reassure our more than 1,200 associates in North Carolina and many more around the world that Ethan Allen’s value and commitment to non-discrimination remain steadfast.”
Kathwari’s comments come in light of the recent passage of HB2 in North Carolina.
