RTA supplier Walker Edison Furniture Co. has prevailed in its lawsuit filed against four brands for trademark infringement, product design infringement and other claims.
Walker Edison filed suit against Gibson Living, Moda Flame, Elite Flame and Artem Galperin. The lawsuit includes various claims related to the defendants’ infringement of Walker Edison’s trademarks, Walker Edison’s trade dress, Walker Edison’s patented product designs, and Walker Edison’s copyrighted assembly manuals.
Walker Edison’s Mosaic TV Stand, winner of a 2013 Pinnacle Award from the America Society of Furniture Designers, is the subject of one of the design patents.
The Court granted Walker Edison’s motion for a temporary restraining order late last month, and last week, the defendants stipulated to the entry of a preliminary injunction.
“We are serious about protecting our intellectual property,” said Brad Bonham, Walker Edison’s co-founder and CEO. “We intend to pursue these defendants vigorously and put a stop to their blatant and illegal use of our name, reputation, and intellectual property.”
