O’Toole Joins Symbol Mattress

Symbol Mattress Co. has named industry veteran James O’Toole regional sales manager for the Northeast.
Prior to joining Symbol, O’Toole worked for 20 years in a number of sales management positions for Sealy http://www.sealy.com and subsequently Tempur-Sealy after the buyout by Tempur-pedic.
Most recently, O’Toole served as regional sales director for the North Atlantic region for Tempur-Sealy from January 2014 to November 2015. In that post he was responsible for 18 account managers and field sales coordinators in New York, New Jersey, the Philadelphia area, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine and Vermont.
O’Toole reports to Mike McQuiston, executive vice president, and to Nick Hrkman, sales manager.
“Jim has proven expertise in new business development, in creating merchandising and advertising strategies to help drive bottom line results, and in team building, training and leadership,” McQuiston said. “We’re very excited to have him on the Symbol team and we’re extremely confident of the level of sales contributions he’ll make in the Northeast.”
