Bob’s Discount Furniture Names Skirvin President, CEO

Skirvin will succeed Ted English in the post, and English becomes executive chairman for the retailer.

Skirvin has been with Bob’s as COO for four years, and previously worked with English when the two executives worked with TJX Cos., the parent company of TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Marshalls, HomeSense and Winners. 

Skirvin’s promotion is part of the company’s planned executive succession strategy following Bain Capital’s acquisition of the retailer in 2014.
