The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation’s 2016 membership drive is under way and is open to all those who play a role in the home furnishings industry.
“By joining the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation, you become part of an organization that brings together top leaders of the industry that we all share,” said Michael Amini, board president. “As the foundation begins a new year, our plans have never been more ambitious, nor have our energy and excitement been higher.”
Amini points to last year’s many success stories: The 2015 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony raised more than $425,000—more than triple other years and a sold-out banquet hall with more than 800 people—a record turnout of members and their guests.
“No other organization offers the same opportunity to work side by side with the industry’s most successful and influential individuals,” Amini said. “Every member has an important role to play in achieving the foundation’s vital work: collecting and preserving our artifacts and the oral histories of our leaders and pioneers. This industry deserves no less.”
Members can choose from three membership levels, which begin at $250, each with corresponding benefits. Memberships can be purchased online. All members are capable of nominating candidates to be inducted into the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame. Membership fees are tax deductible donations to the Hall of Fame, a federally recognized 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization.
“The Hall of Fame is the only organization that embraces every segment of the home furnishings industry throughout the world, and the composition of the board now better reflects our industry’s growing diversity and international reach,” Amini said.
