Art Van Sets 11th Chicagoland Store Opening

Furniture retailer Art Van Furniture will open its 11th store in the Chicago area.

The Glendale Heights, Ill., store will host an open house Wednesday, March 2 beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the ribbon cutting set for 6 p.m.

"We are very eager for Glendale Heights families to experience Art Van Furniture's spectacular selection of affordable home furnishings and our special brand of customer service," said Kim Yost, CEO of Art Van. "We plan to play an active role in the community as we enhance people's lives as well as their homes."

More than 50 full- and part-time jobs are being created at the 42,459-square-foot store that will include the retailer's Art Van PureSleep and Urban departments. The front elevation of the store, formerly a Sports Authority, has been transformed and the interior gutted and redesigned.

Opening festivities will continue Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6 with complimentary refreshments, clowns and live entertainment.
