Elements Donates Furniture for Storm Relief

Furniture supplier Elements is working to replace bedroom furniture for families that suffered uninsured losses from a string of tornados that swept through areas of North Texas in late December.

Rockwall, Texas, home base for Elements, was one of the cities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that was hit by the tornados Dec. 26. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s FEMA has since declared a state of disaster for Texas and is now issuing federal aid to assist with repairing the communities affected.

“We’re incredibly thankful that our distribution center and local offices were unaffected by the damage and even more so that our employees and their families were uninjured,” said Mike Wurster, Elements president. “We’re humbled by the opportunity to play a part in helping local families rebuild what they have lost.”

During the weeks following the tornado devastation, Elements has donated furniture to Lake Pointe Church and Rockwall County Helping Hands as well as assisted its own employees who experienced property damage and further loses. Elements’ customer service has also worked directly with families identified by these organizations to determine their needs. The company warehouse manager and his team are also working with these families to deliver and set up furniture in their new homes.

“Elements greatly thanks all of its employees supporting this effort to help these families in their time of need,” Wurster said. “A donation of this type and size is only possible because of their hard work and dedication.”
