Tyner Furniture Joins Furniture First

The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based retailer operates a 68,000-square-foot showroom.

The independent, family-owned retailer was established in 1944 when Irving Tyner took over another retailer and changed the name. Tyner Furniture is currently operated by Eric Miller, grandson of Eric Tyner and the third-generation of the family in the business.

Tyner Furniture moved to its current location in the early 1990s. Strategic decisions along the way have helped the operation maintain its community standing as Pittsfield Township implemented plans for mixed-use development around the store’s location.
