giggle Acquires Right Start

Baby and youth furnishings retailer giggle has acquired fellow nursery and baby gear retailer Right Start.
The acquisition unites the two brands under the giggle, Inc. umbrella. giggle is the majority owner of the combined business, and Liberty Interactive, the former owner of Right Start, will maintain a minority stake.
giggle currently operates seven stores in California and New York, and Right Start has six stores in Colorado, California and Texas.
Corporte offices will transition to New York and will be under the leadership of Beth Guastella, CEO of giggle. The retailers will maintain separate brands and continue to operate and grow their individual platforms. Both brands have vibrant e-commerce sites.
