Arhaus Names Former Crate & Barrel Executive CEO

Arhaus Furniture has named its first CEO who hails from outside of the founding family.

Adrian Mitchell has been named CEO for the 61-store, Boston Heights, Ohio, chain. Mitchell succeeds John Reed in the position. Reed co-founded the retailer with his father Jack and remains chairman of the board.

Prior to joining Arhaus, Mitchell was interim CEO, COO and CFO for Crate and Barrel. Michell has held a number of positions with Target Corp.

“We will partner together to spearhead Arhaus’ continued growth into the future,” Reed said. “We have a shared vision for the business, which is both exciting and rare to find. Adrian will be able to help us drive our business forward while building upon our rich history of product innovation and continuing to inspire our customers.”
