People have gotten more mobile since the economy has bounced back from the recession, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
During the recession, consumers put moving on hold as finances tightened up. Now that the economy has recovered, more people are making the move. More than 60 percent of total U.S. housing units were moved into since 2000 and 38.4 percent since 2010.
Apartments remain transient with 70 percent of apartment units moved into within the last five years.
