ecUtopia Names Whitehead Director of Business Development

Prior to joining the company, Whitehead spent eight years with Home Furnishings Business in a number of positions, most notably publisher. Whitehead will be working with Ron Sellers, senior vice president of ecUtopia.

“Trey will bring with him his industry knowledge, but more importantly his strong work ethic and integrity that has helped so many companies within our industry make smart buying decisions,” Sellers said. “The clients I’ve spoken with that have worked with Trey over the last several years are excited for him to join ecUtopia. They feel it’s a great place for Trey. Trey will head up our manufacturer focus helping them get plugged into ecUtopia’s EDI network.”

ecUtopia’s EDI services are currently used by nearly 150 furniture retailers that are connected to more than 1,400 manufacturers around the world. ecUtopia takes time and cost out of the supply chain for retailers and manufacturers by providing electronic document exchange for the entire purchase order process.

San Diego-based Jerome’s Furniture has been an ecUtopia client for four years. Lee Goodman, president and CEO, said the platform has improved vendor communication.

Adding Trey, his relationships and knowledge to the ecUtopia team is sure to increase their business, which frankly helps us out. Whitehead will be attending the upcoming Las Vegas Market in his role with ecUtopia.
