Henredon Partners with LA Designer Mark D. Sikes

Whole home resource Henredon has signed a partnership with Los Angeles-based designer Mark D. Sikes to collaborate on a collection.

The collection, which will include bedroom, dining room and living room furniture, will be introduced at the October High Point Market. http://www.highpointmarket.org

The collection is based on Sikes’ designs and signature pieces he has collected through the years. Traditional in roots, it has a modern, eclectic mix for a relaxed feel.

“Timeless yet spirited; simple, classic and all-American,” said Sikes in describing his style. “ I am excited for my new collection with Henredon to include a bold selection of bedroom, dining room and living room furnishings reflecting two distinctive customer targets—one focused squarely on the needs of interior designers today and the other unmistakably luxury retail.”

Sikes’ work has been featured on covers of a variety of magazines, including Veranda, House Beautiful, Architectural Digest, Domino, Luxe, Traditional Home, LONNY and C Magazine. His first book is set for release this year, and he has multiple design projects underway throughout the U.S.

Sikes has been selected as the feature designer of space for the annual DIFFA Dining by Design event at Pier 92 in New York March 17-21. Henredon is a platinum sponsor of the event. Sikes will showcase a pair of dining tables and companion chairs from the October Mark D. Sikes furniture collection.

“As we begin our 71st year, we are confident that the Mark D. Sikes collection will provide our network of loyal Henredon dealers an impressive array of distinctive new products that will resonate with connoisseurs all over the world,” said Paul Peters, senior vice president of merchandising for Henredon’s parent Heritage Home Group. “We have great appreciation for Mark’s fresh aesthetic and how it will complement and expand the broader Henredon product line.”
