Ethan Allen, HGTV Mark 10-Year Dream Home Partnership

The 20th annual Dream Home, a 3,100-square-foot Caribbean-inspired getaway with water views, is located in Merritt Island, Fla. This is the first time HGTV has opted to remodel an existing home, instead of building a new one. The home will be awarded to the winner of the HGTV Dream Home 2016 Giveaway.

The reimagined seaside retreat is the perfect stage for Ethan Allen furnishings. The transformation was the creative work of  designer Brian Patrick Flynn, who shopped the Ethan Allen Design Center in Manhattan to select the furniture, upholstery, window treatments, and accessories.

Flynn chose a cool palette of blue-grays and ivory with some punches of terra cotta. He filled the home with a variety of Ethan Allen styles suitable for the home’s coastal chic vibe.

“The most enjoyable thing for me was having the ability to shop at one place to furnish the entire home,” said Flynn. “With Ethan Allen, it was all done in New York City over just two days. That really made the entire process enjoyable and easy.”

A virtual tour of the home is available online. The HGTV Dream Home 2016 Giveaway opens for entries from eligible participants Dec. 29 through Feb. 18. Official rules, including eligibility and entry details, are also available here.

To coincide with the Dream Home, Ethan Allen is holding a sweepstakes giving away a $5,000 Ethan Allen gift certificate through its Ethan Allen Dreamstakes. The Dreamstakes runs from Jan. 1 to Feb. 29. The company will post the official rules and entry details online  Friday.
