Feizy Rugs Donates to Global Fund for Children

Rug supplier Feizy Rugs is donating $20,000 to The Global Fund for Children to help stop child labor in developing countries.

Statistics say more than 215 million children are engaged in some form of child labor worldwide. In the least developed countries, one child out of every four is involved in some form of dangerous labor.

As manufacturers operating in developing nations, Feizy Rugs is committed to ending this practice through its ongoing partnership with The Global Fund for Children.

“Feizy is a family business, and we are dedicated to children and families around the world all year and especially during the holiday season,” said Leah Feizy, executive vice president. “We are fortunate to have the opportunity to help and protect thousands of children, and we are grateful for our amazing customers who have made this gift possible.”

Feizy’s donation will help fund, educate and grow grassroots groups involved in serving the needs of these children.

“From the bottom of our hearts, The Global Fund for Children is thankful for this donation and everything that Feizy does to support our organization,” said Susan Goodell, CEO of the organization. “Every dollar empowers groups that not only address many of the root causes of child labor, but also scouts, supports and strengthens those working to end the trafficking of children and those committed to creating equal opportunities for children regardless of race, class or gender.”
