Cisco Brothers Buys Environment

Upholstery and case goods supplier Cisco Brothers Corp. has acquired case goods company Environment

Both Los Angeles-based companies hold fast to an eco-friendly, handmade brand ethos.

"We are extremely excited to be acquiring this uniquely Angeleno company,” said Cisco Pinedo, CEO of Cisco Brothers. “It's allowing us to do something a bit different, while continuing to design and create for the Environment customer. We look forward to incorporating aspects of the Cisco brand, like ensuring that everything that is sold through Environment is in line with Cisco Brothers' values.”

Environment will retain its name and continue to be a Los Angeles-based company. The company will continue to produce environmentally friendly pieces under the umbrella of Cisco Brothers.

For more than 20 years, Cisco has been using sustainable materials and building methods to create earth-friendly furniture. Every product is FSC-certified, ensuring that all the wood used in the production of their furniture comes from responsibly managed forests which provide environmental, economic and social benefits. In addition to its manufacturing arm, Cisco operates a retail operation Cisco Home that has six stores in California.

All materials used in Environment's collections are reclaimed, recycled or repurposed wood and canvas, providing true diversity in both appearance and texture.
