FastFact: 3Q Sales Climb 5.2%

Furniture industry sales climbed 5.2 percent in the third quarter of this year compared with sales in the same quarter in 2014.
Third quarter industry sales this year were $23.32 billion. Compared to sales in the second quarter of this year, industry sales climbed 1.3 percent.
Furniture sales, excluding mattress sales, increased 5.18 percent in the third quarter compared to the same quarter last year. Furniture sales were $19.62 billion, up from $18.66 billion in the third quarter of 2014.
Third quarter bedding sales were $3.69 billion, a 5.3 percent increase of the third quarter last year.
