XPO Logistics Names Brooks President of LTL Business

Greenwich, Conn.-based XPO Logistics (NYSE: XPO) has appointed Tony Brooks president of its less-than-truckload (LTL) business, effective Nov. 11.

He will have executive responsibility for XPO’s LTL operations in North America, acquired as part of its recent transaction with Con-way, Inc. He has 30 years of experience as a transportation and logistics executive managing complex networks for large companies including Sysco Corp., Dean Foods, Sears Holding Corp., PepsiCo/Frito-Lay and Roadway Express, Inc.

“Tony is a high-impact player with 11 years in LTL, who has run three of the largest fleets in North America,” said Bradley Jacobs, chairman and CEO of XPO Logistics. “We’re excited that Tony will be leading our LTL platform in North America to its full potential as part of our larger service offering.”

Brooks joined XPO from Sysco, a multinational food distributor, where he was responsible for North American field operations.
