FastFact: 3Q Furniture Industry Sales Up 5.2%

Furniture and mattress sales continued to climb in the third quarter with a 5.2 percent increase over the third quarter last year, according to Impact Consulting Services’ industry model.
That momentum is on top of a 1.3 percent increase over the second quarter of this year.
Industry sales for the quarter were $23.32 billion in the third quarter, a 1.3 percent increase over the second quarter of this year.
Third quarter furniture sales, excluding mattresses, increased 5.18 percent over the third quarter of last year. Third quarter bedding sales soared 9.9 percent from the second quarter.
