Fine Furniture Design Brew Named English Dovetail Ale
The winner of the Fine Furniture Design Custom Beer Naming Contest is English Dovetail Ale, submitted by Laura Knect of from Quality Furniture of Arizona.
The name was featured on a special label for the custom brew created exclusively for the Blues, Brews & Bistro showroom opening celebration.
“It’s great to see customers interact with the brand in a fun, new way,” said Eric Graham, president of Fine Furniture Design. “The names submitted were highly creative. Some of the entries took cues from furniture manufacturing techniques, while others were inspired by our new Brentwood Collection, the description of the craft beer, and the hummingbird on our new Fine Furniture Design logo. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into the entries.”
The contest invited members of the trade to submit their entries for the chance to win an Apple Watch and have their custom beer name appear on a one-of-a-kind craft beer served at Fine Furniture Design’s showroom during High Point Market. Interested participants were able to submit entries via an online voting platform.
A panel consisting of buyers from Hinson Galleries, Bragg Furniture, California Furniture Galleries and three members of the Fine Furniture Design management team, voted online anonymously and rated the creativity and uniqueness of the submissions, and how well they aligned with the Brentwood Collection, one of two collections introduced at the recent Fall High Point Market.
Overall, there were 47 entries submitted by 37 trade buyers, associates and designers. Out of those entries, 18 were eliminated due to possible trademark infringement. An English Dovetail Ale logo and custom packaging were unveiled at opening festivities for Fine Furniture Design’s new showroom at 305 South Hamilton Street during Market.
