Flexsteel’s 1Q Income Jumps 18%

Flexsteel Inds. (NASDAQ: FLXS) posted net income of $5.8 million for the first quarter ended Sept. 30. That’s an 18.1 percent increase over $4.9 million in the first quarter of last year.
Net sales for the quarter climbed 16.4 percent to $127 million compared to $109 million in the previous year first quarter.
Furniture sales for the quarter were $106.3 million, a 16.3 percent increase from $91.4 million in the same quarter last year. The company credited demand for its upholstery for much of the increase.
