Stanley Furniture to Produce Oscar de la Renta Line

Stanley Furniture Co.  (NYSE: STLY) has signed a licensing agreement with fashion house Oscar de la Renta

As part of the agreement, Stanley will design, manufacture and market furniture under the Oscar de la Renta licensed mark for worldwide distribution.

“We are looking forward to offering our customers a truly exceptional whole-home collection in association with the internationally recognized fashion and lifestyle brand, Oscar de la Renta,” said Glenn Prillaman, president and CEO of Stanley. “Our entire team is excited to partner with a brand that is renowned for a refined sense of sophistication that is perfect for today’s consumer.”

The collection will make its debut at the October 2016 High Point Market.

“Stanley Furniture is well positioned to lead the Oscar de la Renta brand into the luxury home furnishings marketplace,” said Alex Bolen, CEO of Oscar de la Renta. “The company’s ninety-year heritage of furniture design and manufacturing gives us great confidence in their ability to faithfully execute our designs and to meet the high level of quality and great attention to detail associated with our brand.”

This is not the Oscar de la Renta lines first foray into the home furnishings market. Century Furniture unveiled a line previously.

“The connection between a life well-lived and the romance and fantasy inherent in the designs of Oscar de la Renta offer an extraordinary bedrock upon which to build a home furnishings collection that is true to the Oscar de la Renta brand,” said Randy Wells, vice president of creative at Stanley. “All of us here at Stanley Furniture are very proud to develop such a collection in partnership with Peter Copping, Carolina Irving, and the entire team at Oscar de la Renta.”
