Twin-Star to Host ‘Spare a Pair’ Bowling Fundraiser

Twin-Star International will host a breast cancer fundraiser during the upcoming High Point Market.

The “Spare a Pair” bowling fundraiser will be held Sunday, Oct. 18 from 7-9 p.m. at the High Point Bowling Center, 309 W. Fairfield Road in High Point. The bowling alley is minutes from downtown High Point, making it easy for High Point Market attendees to participate.

Tickets are $25, and includes three games, shoe rental and unlimited pizza and soft drinks. Tickets will also serve as raffle tickets, and several prizes will be raffled off at the event.

Tickets are available prior to the event in the Twin-Star International showroom in Market on Green, Showroom 304. Attendees can preorder tickets online and pick them up in the Twin-Star showroom before the fundraiser. Proceeds will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to provide help and inspire hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services.

“Our Spare a Pair fundraiser is a great way to unwind at the end of a busy Market day while supporting a great cause,” said Lauren Thiessen, Twin-Star’s communications and media specialist. “You do not have to be a good bowler to participate—just be ready to have fun and help others.”

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. The Spare a Pair breast cancer fundraiser helps the National Breast Cancer Foundation provide free mammograms in all 50 states for underserved women, helps patients overcome the barriers of cost, fear, and misinformation that surround the disease, helps fund breast cancer research, and provides many other programs that help with early detection and education.
