Panama Jack Adds Mattresses to Lineup

Panama Jack has added mattresses to its home line through a licensing partnership with mattress supplier Magniflex

Panama Jack will showcase the line at High Point Market, where it will introduce a four-bed collection designed by Magniflex.

“We continue to build the Panama Jack brand in ways that provide customers with meaningful new opportunities to experience the ease and comfort of Panama Jack at home,” said Kim Manna, Panama Jack CEO.

The mattress collection is made with natural bamboo covers and vegetable-oil-based foams that are Oeko-Tex-certified. The top-end mattresses feature Magniflex’s Dual Core technology that allows couples a choice in individual comfort preferences. The four models retail from $1,299 to $2,499.

“Both of our brands focus on comfort, a casual lifestyle and the importance of using natural elements,” said Billy Curtright, national sales manager for Magniflex. “Producing a line for Panama Jack Home is a great fit for us. The synergy will enable retailers to offer consumers not only a great night’s sleep, but also one that’s beneficial to their personal health and the environment.”

Panama Jack Home has continued to expand since its 2012 introduction. The brand’s home collections include indoor and outdoor furniture, upholstered pieces, fabrics, lighting, rugs, top-of-bed coverings, and, now, mattresses. Earlier this fall, Panama Jack announced the addition of United Weavers for indoor and outdoor rugs, the expanded role of case-goods provider Palmetto Home to include custom upholstery, and an enlarged role for Westport Linens to include bathroom accessories, beach towels and pet beds.

Beginning next year, Panama Jack will kick off a national advertising campaign to promote the casual, relaxed lifestyle.

Media buys include a full-page ad in the January issue of Conde Nast Traveler and a 30-second spot on CNN. In addition, Panama Jack will have 30-second and 90-second segments on in-flight programming with JetBlue, American Airlines and US Airways.
