Art Van Furniture to Open 10th Store in Chicago Area

The Warren, Mich.-based retailer will open a store in Algonquin, Ill., in a 48,000-square-foot space. The space is currently occupied by Gordmans department store. The Gordmans location will be closing this fall.

The new Art Van store will create 40 full-time and part-time jobs.

Art Van currently operates seven Chicago-area stores in Illinois and one in Indiana. The retailer will open its first franchise location in Rockford, Ill., next month.
