The North American Home Furnishings Association is accepting nominations for its 2016 Retailer of the Year award.
The awards recognize members who demonstrate exemplary service to the industry, to their communities and provide an exceptional customer experience in their stores. Nominees will be considered in two categories—businesses with sales volume under $10 million and those with sales volume of $10 million and above.
“Every year the NAHFA receives numerous nominations for outstanding retailers, all whom deserve to be recognized as industry leaders,” said Sharron Bradley, CEO of NAHFA. “Those selected as Retailer of the Year have truly demonstrated the qualities that make them exceptional retailers, setting the bar well beyond customer expectations.”
Nominations will be accepted through Nov. 20. Winners will be announced at the 2016 April High Point Market with an awards celebration to be held during the NAHFA Home Furnishings Conference in Long Beach, Calif., May 22-24. Nominations may be made online.
Any member of the home furnishings industry may nominate one or more NAHFA members for Retailer of the Year. Nominees will be contacted to ascertain eligibility and interest prior to the selection process. A representative from each section of the industry is included on the committee, including NAHFA’s board officers; a sponsor manufacturer; an industry supplier; a former award recipient; a principal of the International Home Furnishings Representatives Association; and a member of the industry press.
