Lexington Sets Design Destination 4.0

Lexington Home Brands will hold its fourth Design Destination event during the upcoming High Point Market.

Hosted by Gail Doby, consultant and coach to some of the country’s most successful designers, and Michelle Jennings Wiebe, founder and president of Studio M Inc., a national interior design firm based in Tampa, Fla., this iteration of the company’s signature event will have a festive tone.  Destination Design will treat professional interior designers with a party at Lexington’s showroom and corporate campus on National Highway on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., featuring gourmet appetizers and cocktails.

“We enjoy incredibly strong relationships with design professionals throughout the country,” said Phil Haney, president and CEO of Lexington Home Brands. “This channel represents a key element of our distribution, and we enthusiastically engage with qualified design professionals, offering them exceptional styling and craftsmanship at a great relative value. That, combined with the breadth of our product assortment—including Tommy Bahama Outdoor Living and Sligh office and media solutions—allows us to serve as an important resource for their projects. The fact that we ship 85 percent of our sold orders in 30 days or less makes the proposition even more attractive for designers.”

Doby and Wiebe will be at the event to greet and engage with attendees and share their experiences via social media. As an accomplished interior design professional, entrepreneur, and business finance expert, Doby created a transformational shift in the way interior design firms and sole practitioners approach the business of doing business.  With partner, Erin Weir, Doby founded Design Success University, an online-based training program created to address the challenges and needs of interior design professionals. With more than 11,000 clients in 76 countries using Design Success University to improve their businesses, Doby created Gail Doby Coaching and Consulting to provide one-on-one VIP services to firms or owners seeking to refine their business acumen and develop a high-performing business model.

Wiebe is the Style Spotter Emeritus for the High Point Market Authority, leading a hand-selected team of trend spotters that curated forward-looking trends for the industry and consumers. She is also founder of the award-winning design firm Studio M Inc., and one of the industry’s rising stars.  She and her firm are engaged in projects throughout Florida and in several other states.  In addition to her specialty in luxury residential design, Wiebe’s work includes multi-family, corporate headquarters, medical offices, and hospitality projects. Her work regularly appears in the pages of top shelter and design publications, newspapers and blogs. She was recently named to the 2015 “Gold List” by Luxe Magazine and writes home features for the Tampa Bay Times. In addition, Wiebe has become a favorite of home products manufacturers seeking design advice on product development. She is a speaker and is currently working on a new design book.

To enhance the experience, Lexington will provide continuous private car service between its downtown Design Studio and the main showroom at 1300 National Highway. Return service will also be provided until the last guest is served. The Lexington Design Studio is located on the corner of Commerce and Wrenn, directly across from the IHFC building and the main transportation terminal.
